It's The Month of Love...

…and I know why you’re here! With Valentine’s Day rapidly approaching, what better time than now to share some gift and date ideas to celebrate this special day! Whether you’re in a relationship with a love interest, hoping to hang with your girls, or celebrate this holiday solo… here’s the perfect blog for you!

Have a bae?

Celebrate with a romantic candlelit dinner at home. Avoiding crowds to make things more private and intimate is always great every now and then. Especially with covid still being a thing. If you can cook, great! Ordering takeout isn’t frowned upon though either. Try to make it special by trying a food neither of you have tried before, or enjoy your partner’s favorite type of food. Fun Fact: Mine is Mexican! Shrimp tacos/taquitos/fajitas to be exact. Paired with a yummy margarita, and you can’t forget the chips, salsa, and guac! If you’re in Los Angeles and would prefer eating outside, I plan awesome luxury picnics at the park, the beach, you name it! Shameless plugs never hurt. As for a gift… sure your presence should be enough, but an actual present never hurts. Try planning a couples massage, or picking up something you’ve heard your partner mention at least twice. A new handbag, perfume/cologne, something along those lines will do the trick.

Hanging with the girls or bros?

What restaurant have you all been trying to get to? Make a reservation asap, and pick a cute color theme you all can dress in. All black is always a sexy time. Plus it’ll make your instagram pix hot! If you would rather stay in, plan a cute wine night and pair it with a charcuterie board. It would be great to even throw in Secret Santa with a twist. Secret Cupid anyone?? Pick names before you all get together, set a price (ranging between $25-$100), then shop for the person you selected. I know the above seems perfect for my ladies, so fellas… I got you. Hit up a local bar or cigar shop and have some good ol guy time. Super Bowl is also the day before VDay this year, so Bro-lentines can totally be a thing.

Now for my solo sweeties…

Make the day all about you from start to finish. From the second you wake up, go straight to the mirror, and tell yourself how much you love yourself. Recite words of affirmation. Buy yourself a gift, send yourself some flowers, book a massage, visit the beach or any place that brings you the most peace and joy. If you have tub, now is the time to put it to use. Add some bath salts, bubble bath, rose petals, with a glass of wine on the side… the whole shebang. No tub? No problem. Take all the shower time you need. Make the entire day a Yes Day for you, and do everything that makes you feel most loved and appreciated. The best love comes from God, then from within.

I hope this post has been helpful for you with planning a special Valentine’s Day.
